Theatrical humor: In the infamous yodeling song, Maria gets the children
to yodel so they won’t hear the raging thunderstorm outside.
In this scene, the light op is flashing a special to signify lightning
while the sound op takes the flashes as cues to play the thunder sound.
MikeFitz was taking some photos and using a flash…which caused the
poor sound op great distress over why the light op wasn’t following the
cues in the script.
